KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at its Annual General Meeting (AGM), at the St. Kitts Marriott in St. Kitts, returned all members of the executive, and appointed its second female director.
The Annual General Meeting was held in tandem with the Women’s Super 50 tournament, allowing participating players to attend, and offered the attendees greater insight into the association’s operations over the past twelve months. Further, the membership re-elected the incumbent leadership team unopposed for a new term ending in 2027. As such, Wavell Hinds will serve his seventh consecutive term unopposed as President, alongside Nixon McLean (Vice President), Wayne Lewis (Honorary Secretary), Liam Sebastien (Assistant Secretary), and Ridley Jacobs (Treasurer). Rashada Williams was nominated and appointed by the quorum as the second non-elected director alongside Shakera Selman.
WIPA President and CEO, Wavell Hinds commented, “I am committed to continue to make our players and membership the priority of my leadership. I thank the membership for the trust and confidence that has been placed in me and my executive. I would also like to welcome our new director, Ms Rashada Williams, and I wish her, and the executive, all the best for the new term.”
