KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) is pleased with and welcomes the positive outcomes of recent disciplinary matters involving two of our members, Mr. Raymon Reifer and Mr. John Campbell.
Raymon Reifer has been fully cleared of all charges by the Disciplinary Committee of Cricket West Indies (CWI) relating to the Super50 Cup final. We commend the fairness and transparency of the process and are satisfied that justice has prevailed.
We are also pleased that CWI has officially withdrawn the penalty imposed on John Campbell, following a review by an independent tribunal. This is a welcome development, and one that aligns with WIPA’s long-standing view that Mr. Campbell deserved a fair and just resolution. We are pleased that he continues to contribute meaningfully to the game.
“We are heartened by the outcomes in both cases,” said WIPA President and CEO Wavell Hinds. “These decisions reflect the importance of due process, and we are pleased that both Mr. Reifer and Mr. Campbell can now move forward. We remain committed to supporting our members and ensuring their rights and reputations are protected.”
WIPA continues to advocate for the rights, welfare, and fair treatment of all West Indies players and reaffirms its commitment to dialogue, accountability, and justice within regional cricket.
